DigitalDust - thanks man, Yes I did use photographic reference. The metal textures and the BG wall were photos i took some years back at an old docklands. I painted more rust onto them and overlayed it onto the original painting of the wall.The face I found in a magazine which I overlayed and painted over heavily. The metal texture on her body were all painted on using various grades of the watercolour tool and chalk tool. this was then burnt and overlayed until I got the desired effect. I found painter more effective than photoshop in creating these textures. photoshop was great in dodging and burning to get the desired effect.

That was a really meticulously detailed figure! I heard James Cameron is making the movie called "Battle Angel". Is this one related?

This is a good work, but the wires at the top right looked odd to me. They look like you did them with a single freehand stroke without bothering to smooth out the curves and simply put the details on them. The same goes for the other wires in the shadow behind her. Yes, they are all just nitpick details and you don't really have to listen to my unnecessary opinions.
